A Conversation with Gil Bolden, RCA, Infotrend’s Assistant Vice President of Program Delivery
At Infotrend, mission success is driven by leaders who combine operational discipline with a deep commitment to people and outcomes. As Assistant Vice President of Program Delivery, Gil Bolden plays a critical role in ensuring complex programs run smoothly, stakeholders remain confident, and teams are empowered to perform at their best.
In this Leadership Spotlight, Gil shares his perspective on success, innovation, quality, and what it takes to deliver consistently in high-stakes federal environments.
How do you define success for your role or within your team?
“For me, success is when the COR trusts our numbers, our delivery is predictable, and the team feels supported and clear on priorities. If we’re executing well while growing talent and continuously reducing friction, that’s real success.”
What does innovation mean to you in your part of the business?
“Finding ways to remove friction; optimizing repetitive steps, simplifying workflows, and aligning the right people to the right roles. When we streamline, we reduce cost, improve accuracy, and give the team time back to focus on high-value work.”
How do you integrate quality assurance and compliance into daily workflows without slowing momentum?
“We bake the quality into the workflow instead of treating it as an afterthought. Templates, workflows, and early spot-checks catch issues before they become dreaded REWORK. We also explain WHY controls matter; once the team understands the risk, high quality becomes the standard, compliance feels natural, not burdensome. That lets us move fast without compromising standards.”
What is a piece of advice you have for someone starting out in this industry?
“Understand the mission and the people first: both your team and your client counterparts. Ask questions early, document your work, and invest in strong relationships. This industry rewards people who stay curious and can guide clients toward new concepts while respecting their style and needs.”
What strategies help Infotrend consistently deliver on mission-critical outcomes?
“We consistently deliver because we run disciplined programs with clear roles, engaged leadership, and transparent communication with the COR and broader staff. We identify risks early and don’t shy away from owning them, cross-train teams so work never stalls, and empower leaders to solve problems before they escalate. That combination of structure and adaptability is our edge.”
Gil’s approach reflects a core principle behind Infotrend’s success: disciplined execution paired with empowered teams and trusted partnerships. By reducing friction, embedding quality into daily work, and maintaining transparent communication, his programs deliver predictable, mission-focused outcomes even in complex environments.
