Digital Forensics Lab

Infotrend launched our own Digital Forensics Lab in Tysons Corner, Virginia to train our staff in the collection, analysis, and preservation of electronic evidence across various formats, including magnetic tape, CD/DVD, and audio and video files. The lab is located in private office space leased by Infotrend and secured by a dedicated network equipped with automatic data failover and redundancy strategies and is in the process of being ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified.

Infotrend provided critical support for law enforcement and regulatory investigations across five states, conducting on-site and field investigations. Leveraging advanced forensic tools such as EnCase Forensic and Cellebrite, we extracted data from various mobile devices and laptops, yielding over 200 Terabytes (TB) of Electronically Stored Information (ESI). To maintain evidence integrity, we employed hardware write-protection and blocking protocols like SAFE Block and Tableau Forensic Bridges, ensuring our procedures did not disrupt investigative operations.
